What is a Little Free Library
"A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange. They come in many shapes and sizes, but the most common version is a small wooden box of books. Anyone may take a book or bring a book to share." Little Free Library
How a Little Free Library Works
Little Free Libraries offer a way to share good things to read - children, teens, and adults.
Take books.
If you see something you would like to read, take it.
Share books.
Pass them on to a friend or return them to any Little Free Library.
Give books.
Continue to be a friend of the Library and others by leaving a book for others to enjoy.
How Our Little Free Library Came to Be
Our first Little Free Library at Cottell Park is the result of two local teens who wanted to share their love of reading with the community. They held a successful KickStarter campaign to raise the funds, built the wooden library, and hand-painted the exterior in a unique design. What a great contribution to the community!
Our second Little Free Library at Kingswood Park was completed by Girl Scout Troop 49752 as part of their silver award. It was installed in April 2021. We appreciate their support of the community!
