Join Deerfield Township for a weekend full of family friendly activities in honor of America's 250th anniversary! From a Hometown Heroes softball game complete with fireworks to a family picnic with apple pie baking contest and old school outdoor activities!
Friday, June 12th
- Hometown Heroes softball game between Deerfield Township Fire Rescue and Warren County Sheriff's Office at beautiful Cottell Park! Kids will have a blast in our Kids Zone full of inflatables, games, face painting and more! Plan on having dinner at the park at one of the food trucks onsite, and enjoy a beverage from 50 West. A fireworks finale will cap off this perfect evening of fun for all ages!
- 6 pm: Food trucks , music, and Kids Zone opens
- 6:30 pm: Pre-game ceremony complete with national anthem
- 7 pm: First pitch
- 9:30 Fireworks Finale
Saturday, June 13th
Freedom 5K through gorgeous Kingswood Park, with after party celebration at Sonder Brewing! Registration information coming soon!
Sunday, June 14th
- Enjoy a day of good old fashioned American fun with Deerfield Township's All American Picnic at our newest park conveniently located in the heart of the District at Deerfield. 50 West will have all your American favorites available for purchase, including burgers, hot dogs, and corn on the cob. Enjoy a free slice of apple pie while supplies last!
- In honor of Flag Day, we will have a flag raising ceremony and dedication of the township's newest flag pole inside the District at Deerfield. The color guard will be on hand to lead this moving ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 1:30 pm.
- Dig out your yummiest apple pie recipe and get ready to enter our Apple Pie Baking Contest! A panel of judges will have the delicious task of choosing Deerfield Township's Best Apple Pie made by our residents. Pre-registration is required.
- Kids of all ages (and yes, adults too!) will enjoy playing nostalgic outdoor games and activities, listening to a story and doing a craft with The Arts Alliance, face painting and balloon animals, and more!
