Eat a Fire Truck Register View Cart

This event is a collaboration between the The Mason Public Library, Deerfield Township Fire and Rescue, and Deerfield Township Parks & Recreation Department.

About the Event
What do firefighters wear when they come to help you? Enjoy a story read by a Deerfield Township Fire Fighter, explore a fire truck, then decorate and eat a fire truck cookie.

General Information
  • This program is geared for children from preschool to early elementary-aged but siblings are always welcome.
  • This event will be held rain or shine at Kingswood Park. In inclement weather, the storytime and activities will move into the Activity Center.
  • Registration is required in order to receive a cookie kit. Register once for each child receiving a cookie kit. Do NOT register parents and non-cookie eating children. If registration is full, or you do not want a kit, then you are welcome to attend on a drop in basis. We will have extra handouts available teaching how to make the fire truck cookies at home with common grocery ingredients. Unclaimed kits will be available at the library first come, first served starting at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 4th, while supplies last.

Schedule of Activities
  • Fire Truck Visit 6:00 p.m.
  • Story Time with a Fire Fighter, 6:30 p.m. @ Pavilion or indoors if rainy
  • Cookie decorating and eating at about 7:00 p.m. @ Pavilion or indoors if rainy

Registration Information
  • Registration will open on September 18 at 6:00 pm.
  • Registration can be done on the Mason Public Library website, www.masonpl.org
