Deerfield Township has partnered with naturalist Shannon Pennington, Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District, and the OSU Warren County Extension to provide a series of presentations educating us on wildlife in our area, as well as topics such as gardening, wellness, nature, and more.
Vermicomposting 101 Workshop
• Food waste is a huge contributor to greenhouse gasses, but composting is a way to better address our food waste.
• This program will help participants understand the basics of composting with worms in order to recycle nutrients back into the soil.
• Participants will build their own vermicomposting bin and receive worms to get started!
