Kingswood: Wayfinding & Educational Signage

What is the project timeline?
  • This is Phase II of the Kingswood Pathway Project. (In Phase 1, pathway connections were completed.)
  • Phase II: Providing wayfinding (trail naming/identification) and educational signage. Signage providing educational topics related to prairie ecosystems was added to the project in late 2021.
  • Educational signage was installed in March 2022.
  • Anticipated completion of wayfinding signage is Summer of 2023.

Where exactly will this project take place?
  • Wayfinding will be completed on trails for both the south and the north side of the park.
  • Educational signage will be added on the north side of the park.

How is the project funded?
  • This project is being funded through the Deerfield Township Park Levy.

What is the benefit of this project to the community?
  • Wayfinding improves accessibility and clearly defines trails.
  • Educational signage increases community awareness and knowledge of prairie ecosystems.
